Join our crew of young conservationists (ages 10–13) to explore how humans impact the planet—and how we can protect it. Through themed lessons, hands-on STEM activities, and Zoo excursions, participants will gain the tools and inspiration to become lifelong stewards of wildlife and wild places.

This free program is made possible by the Gregory P. St. Amand Memorial Fund. Space is limited, so a short application is required by May 15th. Please submit applications to [email protected]

Each class will focus on one of the threats to biodiversity following the H.I.P.P.O. acronym.

  • H: Habitat Destruction, June 11th
  • I: Invasive Species, June 25th
  • P: Pollution, July 9th
  • P: (human) Population, July 23rd
  • O: Overharvesting, August 6th

Participants will be enrolled for the entire series and those who attend three of the five classes will receive an excusive youth volunteer tee-shirt
