  • Diet: Carnivores, primarily feeding on deer, wild boar and sun bears that inhabit the region
  • Habitat: Tropical forests and grasslands
  • Range in the Wild: The Malay Peninsula, southern tip of Thailand

Conservation Status

Listed as Endangered. It is estimated between 500 and 1,000 wild Malayan tigers remain facing threats from habitat destruction and poaching.
