[ARCHIVED] Fire Chief Jerry Snyder Retirement

Fire Chief Jerry Snyder is retiring from Manhattan Fire Department after 36 years of service. He started on the Department as a firefighter in January 1977. He has risen through the ranks of Fire Driver, Lieutenant, Battalion Chief and Assistant Director of Emergency Services. In 2005 he was named to the Department’s top position as Director of Fire Services. He oversees 106 employees in the divisions of Emergency Operations and Technical Services, Code Services, Administration and Building Maintenance.

A reception is being held in his honor on March 1, 2013 at 2000 Denison Avenue (HQ fire station) beginning at 2:30, presentations at 3:00p.m. The reception is open to the public.
